A Message from Mayor Andrew Prokop

Welcome to the Town of Taber website. The Town of Taber is located in the heart of Southern Alberta's rich agricultural region with many acres of irrigated land as well as dry land farming in the area. It has been said "if you can't grow it here you likely can't grow it anywhere." Taber is also internationally known for "Taber Corn," and we grow large amounts of sugar beets, potatoes, grain and cereal crops.

The Town of Taber has been very strong in the oil field for many years, and although more recently Alberta has experienced a downturn in the oil industry, it has continued to hold steady and is now on the upswing.

There are also a variety of other retails outlets, businesses, and many parks and recreational opportunities in Taber and area.

We are also just a short drive to the Canada/USA border as well as relatively close to the Rocky Mountains west of Taber.

The Town of Taber is an incredible community to live, work, play, raise families, and grow. We are a very diverse, caring, warm, and friendly community.
