Only licensed monument companies are authorized to do monument installations or monument work within the Taber Memorial Gardens, as per the Cemetery Bylaw.
All monument work requires a Monument Permit to be approved by the Cemetery Clerk prior to placing a monument in the Taber Memorial Gardens. The Town of Taber does not enter into the business of monument placement but refers all customers to monument companies.
Glass bottles, earthen jars, metal or wooden boxes or other memorial tributes are unacceptable in any section of the cemetery. The Town will remove all items placed in the cemetery without authorization.
Artificial flowers, arrangements, or plants are acceptable throughout the year if they are contained within a vase affixed on or near the monument and do not pose a hazard to the cemetery employees engaged in their duties. The Town will remove all artificial flowers, arrangements, or plants that are found to be in a state of substantial disrepair, become unsightly, are placed somewhere other than in an affixed vase or cause a potential hazard to cemetery workers.
