The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is responsible to ensure the Corporation operates in accordance with the objectives, policies and plans approved by Council under the legislative requirements of the Municipal Government Act.
Municipalities are also responsible to adhere to many other legislative Acts including the Police Act and the Traffic Safety Act.
One of the primary roles required is assisting Council with executive and administrative liaison services. This is achieved by an integrated approach in leading the organization in developing and maintaining effective long-range planning which will provide direction for the Town and the community, reviewing the organization and departmental structures and by providing recommendations and advice when required.
The Corporation covers a full range of municipal services that include:
- Financial Services
- Public Services
- Planning and Economic Development
- Police Services
- Emergency Services
